Returning a product under the WEEE Regulations.

What do the WEEE regulations mean?

WEEE (The Waste Electrical and electronic Equipment) Directive is UK law that governs the disposal and recycling of all electrical items. The law, introduced in 2014, puts the emphasis on the producers and suppliers of electrical equipment to pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electricals.

As a retailer that sells new Electrical and Electronic products we will take back old items, provided it is a like-for-like replacement when you buy a new product from us. We will then responsibly dispose of the old product ensuring that it doesn’t end up in landfill.

Old products must be returned directly to our shop or head office (details below) within 28 days of your new purchase, clearly marked as WEEE.

Disposing of equipment yourself

If you choose not to send your equipment back to us for disposal then you can dispose of any electricals or electronics yourself at your local recycling centre, who will dispose of your equipment via a controlled recycling process.

You can locate your closest collection site by entering your postcode at www.recycle-more.co.uk

What products fall under WEEE Regulations?

As part of the WEEE regulations, all electrical and electronic goods produced after August 2005 that fall under WEEE regulations should be clearly marked with a crossed-out bin symbol which means they should not be included with household waste so that they can be recycled

As a responsible retailer we take all steps possible to ensure that our business meets all requirements of any EU & UK consumer protection laws, particularly the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and other legislation specific to the products that we sell.

DMR DeathGrip 2 Non Flange MTB Grips - Thin - Red

Season:2025

Brand:DMR

Code:DMR-G-002-005

The original. Just better. We took everything we learned from making and riding the original Deathgrip and created the Deathgrip2. Having spent years refining grip design with Brendan Fairclough, Olly Wilkins and the DMR Team, along with riders from around the world at all levels, we knew we were on to a winning formula. We kept the features that riders know and love and added some fundamental improvements along the way.

The DMR Deathgrip2 features the grip pattern and layout that inspired a whole generation of mountain bike grips – it starts with a soft mushroom section for comfort in the thumb and forefinger area, preventing blisters in a soft-tissue zone. Next, the grip pattern features a diamond knurl for grip in all conditions and all terrains – and the waffle layout underside holds your fingers in the perfect position for grip and control. A tapered core means the Deathgrip is firmly mounted onto your handlebars with ease and the use of just one lockring keeps things simple and tight. The Krayton rubber grip compounds we use are soft and comfortable, yet durable and lightweight. Select thin or thick diameters, and with or without flanges – the choice is yours.

  • We took these winning features of the Deathgrip, and then added:
  • An exposed core end for added durability for when the going gets rough.
  • A new injection-molded DMR end cap for added branding and colour coordination.
  • The DMR collar lockring is now slimmer, more refined, and more integrated with the grip outer.
  • The flanges are now slimmer with a new relief design and a fresh DMR logo.
  • Millimetre-perfect positioning of mushroom, waffle, and knurl for the ultimate grip pattern.

Deathgrip2s are designed for optimal grip, comfort and control whether you ride with or without gloves. They’re the perfect choice for every rider – for weekend thrashers, dedicated free-riders, or whether you race Hardlines, World Cups, or ride Rampages. Deathgrip2s are the grip of choice for everyone.

Once you've ridden Deathgrip2s, you won't go back. Ride the best, forget the rest.

Key Features:
  • TAPERED CORE – No need for outer lockring, with a secure hold.
  • WAFFLE – For comfortable finger placement and confident grip.
  • KNURL – For all-over grip in all conditions.
  • MUSHROOM – For comfort in the thumb and forefinger area.
  • TWO THICKNESS OPTIONS – Choose either 31.3mm or 29.8mm.
  • FLANGE OR FLANGELESS – For your preferred grip setup.
  • COMPOUND – Choose Soft 20A for all-terrain riding, Gum in 25A, or super-soft Race compound in 15A durometer.
  • LIGHTWEIGHT – Just 100g per pair

Specification:
  • Tapered core for a secure fit
  • Soft Krayton rubber outer
  • Three compounds: Race 15A, Soft 20A, Gum 25A
  • Exposed plastic core for durability
  • Injection moulded DMR logo end cap
  • Available with or without flange
  • Slimline aluminium lock-ring collar
  • Single lock-ring bolt – torque to 2Nm
  • Available in thick or thin (31.3mm or 29.8mm)
  • 135mm long
  • Original Deathgrip remains available in the DMR range

Installation:

Please follow these instructions carefully to install your new DMR Deathgrips
  1. Remove your old grips and bar end plugs.
  2. Thoroughly clean and degrease the handlebar.
  3. Ensure there is at least 130mm of free bar space for each grip. If necessary, move your controls to create the required space.
  4. Fit the new DMR Deathgrips onto the handlebar by pushing them on until they won't go any further. You may need a soft-faced mallet or similar to tap them on to fully engage the unique taper-end of the Deathgrip.
  5. Make sure the collars are fully located on the grips and tighten the collar bolts to torque (2nm). Do not over-tighten the collar bolts, only tighten them enough that the grips will not rotate under force.
  6. Confirm that the grips and controls are securely in place. Twist the grips hard to ensure they do not move.
  7. NOW GO RIDE!
